- National Families Week - 11 to 17 May 2008
National Families Week, from 11-17 May 2008, is a week-long celebration of families, which coincides with the UN International Day of Families.
January 2008
A Multiple Birth Allowance (MBA) is added to Family Tax Benefit Part A for a parent who has three or more children born during the same birth. Up until 31 December 2007, the MBA stopped when the children turned six years old.From 1 January 2008 the MBA will continue to be paid until:
- the children turn 16 years of age; or
- if at least three of the children are in full-time study, until the end of the calendar year in which the children turn 18 years of age.
